Creating and Managing Alerts

Alerts are a great way to stay in the loop without having to constantly look at your reports. You tell us what you're interested in, and we'll send you an email or Slack message.

Your account comes built in with alerts, one for your own apps and some for competitors you're tracking, which means you don't have to set up anything yourself. Of course, you can also customize your alerts by selecting specific apps or countries on your Alert Management page.

  • Reviews
  • Category Ranks

Setting Up a Reviews Alert

Reading reviews is a great way to keep a finger on the pulse of your app and learn what your users want, what's broken, and maybe even find a few good quotes for your marketing site.

The reviews report makes reading reviews very easy, and alerts make it even easier by coming directly into your inbox automatically!

  1. Log into your Appfigures account → Reviews (or the Alerts Hub)
  2. Select the app(s) you want to get reviews for.
  3. Apply filters to control which reviews you want in Slack. You can filter by: keywordcountry, or number of stars. Or don't apply any and we'll send all new reviews.
  4. Select the language you want your reviews to be automatically translated into
  5. Setup's done, let's make the Alert - Click Create an alert at the top of the report.
  6. Select the frequency. As soon as possible means that we'll send an alert as soon as we see new reviews. Daily Alerts are sent around 8pm EST.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I create more than one Alert?

A: Yes! You can create multiple alerts with different apps, filters, and actions. So you can send your sales summaries to your team and your awesome reviews to your marketing team.

Q: How can I change the channel or team the reviews alert is sent to?

A: You can easily edit your Alert directly from the reviews report. Simply click the arrow that's in the "Create an alert" button and select the Alert you'd like to edit. Then, open the room selection list, or click on "change team". Like all other alerts, you can also manage these through the Alerts hub.

Q: How can I delete an Alert?

A: Similar to editing an Alert, find it from the Alerts menu in the reviews report and click delete. Deleted Alerts can't be recovered, so delete carefully. Measure twice, cut once. Additionally, every email alert we send has a link at the footer that will immediately stop all future alerts from coming to your inbox.
