Managing Your Apps

Appfigures gives you full control over which of your apps are tracked and which are visible in your dashboard. This flexibility lets you monitor only the apps that you want.

Understanding App Status: Active vs. Visible

Each app in Appfigures has two independent settings:

Setting

What It Does

Effect

Active

Determines whether Appfigures tracks the app’s data.

Active apps are tracked and count toward your usage and billing. Inactive apps are not tracked and don’t incur costs.

Visible

Controls whether the app appears in your app selector and reports.

Visible apps appear in your dashboard and selector. Invisible apps are hidden but still accessible if reactivated.

If an app is inactive but visible, it will still appear in your selector, but will have a gray inactive tag applied to show it’s not currently being tracked.

By default, your apps will be set to automatically activate when found in sales reports for the first time. If you prefer to activate apps manually, scroll to the bottom of the apps list, under "How should we handle new apps?" and check the box for 'Activate new apps manually'.

How to Activate or Deactivate an App

  1. Go to your Manage Apps page in Appfigures.
  2. Locate the app you want to update.
  3. Toggle the Active switch on or off:
  • Turn on to start tracking and include it in reports and billing.
  • Turn off to stop tracking and exclude it from billing.
  1. Toggle the Visible setting to hide or show the app in your selector.

Once deactivated, the app’s historical data remains in your account; it’s simply paused from ongoing tracking. If the app is activated in the future we'll automatically activate the data in reports from when the app was inactive.

Important: an app is tracked as an app + store. If you are tracking an iOS app and a Google app, that's two apps tracked.
