[Beta] Reply to Reviews with the App Store Connect API

We’re testing a new way to reply to App Store reviews using the App Store Connect API - designed to help you respond quicker and stay on top of user feedback.

To get set up, you’ll need a few details from App Store Connect.


Required: To generate team API keys in App Store Connect, you must have the admin role.


Steps to generate the API key:



  • Click the blue '+' button
  • Enter a name for the key (i.e., Appfigures) and set Access to “Customer Support”
  • Click Generate
  • The new key will show up in the Active table.
  • Click Download at the far right of the row, then again when the pop-up appears.
  • Above the table, click “Copy” next to your Issuer ID
  • Once you have the above, go to the Linked Accounts page. Click 'edit' next to your App Store Connect account.
  • In the Optional section enter the Issuer ID and Key ID.
  • Lastly, upload the team key file and hit 'save'.
