Appfigures API, CLI, and MCP: Access, Limits, and Public Data
The Appfigures API, CLI, and MCP server give you programmatic access to Appfigures data. Use them to automate reports, build custom workflows, explore the market, or bring Appfigures data into the tools you already use.
Use your own app data
Data for apps connected to your Appfigures account through a linked store account is available at no additional data cost. You can use the API, CLI, or MCP server to work with the same data you see in Appfigures, including downloads, revenue, subscriptions, ratings, reviews, usage, and more.
Daily request limits
Every account includes 1,000 API requests per day. If you need a higher limit, go to API Access and select a request-limit add-on. Options range from 2,500 to 50,000 requests per day.
Access public data for any app
Use the Public Data API add-on when you want to retrieve data for apps you do not own, such as competitors or apps you are researching. Public data can include app metadata, ratings, reviews, ranks, keyword data, featured placements, download and revenue estimates, and more.
Enable the Public Data API
- Go to Account Add-ons.
- Find Public Data API and enable the add-on.
- Select it to open its settings page.
The settings page shows your available credit balance.
Buy credits
- On the Public Data API settings page, select Add Credits.
- Choose a package from the available options.
- Complete the purchase.
Credits are available as soon as your purchase is complete. Return to the settings page at any time to check your balance or add more.
How credits work
Public Data API credits are used when you retrieve public data for apps that are not connected to your account through a linked store account. The API, CLI, and MCP server use the same Public Data API access and credit balance.
Credits are purchased in packages and never expire. Each request costs one or more credits depending on the data you retrieve. If you do not have enough credits, the API will tell you how many you need.
Requests that use more than one credit
Data | Credits |
|---|---|
Product metadata | 2 |
Extended product metadata | 7 |
Ratings | 3 |
Reviews | 3 |
Featured placements | 5 |
Category ranks | 10 |
Keywords | 10 |
SDKs | 15 |
Reply to reviews
You can use the Appfigures API, CLI, and MCP server to reply to reviews on the App Store and Google Play. Replying requires access to the app through a linked store account and is available on plans that include replying to reviews.
Commercial use, data processing, and AI training
Before using Appfigures data for any commercial purpose beyond internal use, including building a data product, processing data for clients, reselling or repackaging data, or training an AI model, contact us first.
Many of these uses require a separate commercial license and may not be permitted under a standard Appfigures account. Contact us before investing time in a product or workflow that depends on this data.
